The fifth graders have been working on writing, asking and answering questions in Spanish. They worked with various partners today to ask them the questions they wrote. The fifth graders reviewed gender of nouns and learned some new rules. They worked on a group sorting to apply these new rules and I heard some great discussions! The fifth graders have been reviewing sports words and learning sports verbs. In class today they worked to talk with a parnter in Spanish, describing various pictures. They did a great job speaking only Spanish. The firth graders learned some new information about Día de los Muertos. They read a short article, answered questions and worked on a day of the dead coloring activity!
The fifth graders are working hard to memorize the subject pronouns in English and Spanish as well as their place on the grid. Ask them to sing you the "I am yo" song! Also, check out the document below to see the subject pronouns.
The fifth graders created duolingo accounts last class. This is a great self-paced, independent way to practice Spanish at home!
